You might as well stand in the Louvre and say what utter crap the Mona Lisa is. The bricklayer is a poser, only the brickworker is true …? What about painters? I doubt any of them created the things they painted later… or photographers.Īn architect is worthless, only a bricklayer is the real deal …? One can´t create anything artistic unless he has done every asset himself …? To me it sounds no one here hates Daz3d, what really bugs you are the people using their models and tools. All they see is a naked woman and morph targets for her boobs - hence the shallow reputation Poser/DazStudio has to endure. DazStudio and Poser is about textures, posing, hair, cloth, props - creating scenes fast - it is not about creating a mesh - at least not for the majority, there are content creators though, who sell their stuff on Daz3d.Īll the bad renders you see with Daz models come from juveniles that have no idea about CG. And I don´t see what bothers you with them being ready. Many people here at BA could benefit a lot in anatomy and topology just by looking at them. It just proofs that you have a diffuse rejection rather than a sceptical interest. The photo realism does not come from the model, it comes from the texturing, shaders, lighting and render setup. Many Daz3D models are free, including the older or low poly Versions of Michael and Victory, sometimes even the high res texture maps and all the morphs. You don´t need to buy a model to assert it´s quality. My comment was purely about the appearances of the models “Most” of which I don’t think look that good (Photo realistic) Though things might have changed I rarely (if ever) have seen a Mesh Preview (wireframe). My comment did not refer to the quality of the Mesh, as I would have to actually buy one to ascertain that.
